Revision of the Guidance for the Recording of Operations in the Oil Record Book according with MEPC.1/Circ.736/Rev.1

According revised MEPC.1/Circ.736/Rev.1 issued 24 August 2011 some changes in the recording of operations in the Oil Record Book Part I - Machinery Space Operations. This is an amendment to the MEPC.1/Circ.736 issued 8 November 2010 which is revoked. In this post you will find all changes and a marked circular with said changes.

Description of requirement

The following changers are evident in to MEPC.1/Circ.736/Rev.1

- Page 4 Usage of code D:
---Words “starting and “transfer has been added.
- Page 5 Usage of code E:
---Words “starting” and “transfer” has been added.
- Page 6 in Example 16bis in the Notes section
---Words deleted “ sealed shut due to non working Oil Filtering Equipment or Oil Content Meter”
---Words replaced by “ unsealed since the operation of the Oil Filtering Equipment or Oil Content Meter has been restored”
- Page 6 Example 17 third line in the example table referring to item No:23
---Words “ Place or” has been added
- Page 6 Example 18 third line in the example table referring to item No:26.2
---Hours and minutes has been added. “-hh:mm”
- Page 8 Example 24 in the notes section, 5th line
---Word “Part II using code (O)” replaced with wording “Part II using code (J)”

It is recommended to forward on board the revise MEPC.1/Circ.736/Rev.1 and instruct Master / Ch.Eng to discard pervious version.
